Cashew Gravy

(Vegan)

  • 2 1⁄2 Cups water
  • 1⁄2 Cup raw cashews (soak in the water for 15-20 minutes to soften)
  • 2 Tbs. cornstarch
  • 1⁄2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbs. tamari (soy sauce)
  • 1⁄2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. onion powder

Blend all ingredients until very smooth, (best in a Vita mix). Make sure it is very smooth. Pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly till it thickens.
