Unsausages Breakfast Patties

(Yields 23 - 24 Patties)

  • 3 ½ C water
  • 4 ½ Tbs. low-sodium tamari
  • 3 ½ C rolled oats
  • 3 Tbs. olive oil
  • 1 ½ Tbs. granulated onion powder
  • 1 Tbs. maple syrup
  • 1 Tbs. sage
  • 4 ½ Tbs. nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1 ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbs. Italian seasoning

Boil water. Add all ingredients except oats. Remove boiling water mixture from heat and add oats. Stir well. Allow to sit for 15-20 minutes to absorb the liquid. Place on a Silpat on a cookie sheet. Or well-oiled cookie sheet. Scoop out with a ¼ C measuring cup and tap onto the cookie sheet and press down to spread out to about ½ inch thickness. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, turning after the first 15 minutes.

Yields 23-24 patties. These freeze well.
