Granola
(Vegan)

(Makes about 5 quarts)
- 10 C. regular oatmeal
- 4 C. whole wheat flour
- 1 C. wheat germ
- 2 C. shredded coconut
- 3 C. chopped walnuts
- 1 C. brown sugar
- 1 Tbs. salt
Place in a large bowl and mix. Then add:
- 3⁄4 C. canola oil
- 1 C. water
- 3⁄4 C. unsweetened applesauce
Wisk together oil, water and applesauce, then add to dry ingred. and blend well. I use a large spoon and my hands.
Place in two 9x13x2” Pyrex pans. Bake at 250-300 degrees for 1 hour. Be sure to stir every 15 minutes so it cooks evenly. This freezes well.
