Hummas

(Vegan)

  • 1-15 oz. can chickpeas
  • 2 cloves garlic - crushed
  • 1⁄4 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • 3 Tbs FRESH lemon juice
  • 1⁄4 cup water or more if too thick after blending
  • 1⁄4 tsp paprika
  • 1⁄2 tsp cumin
  • 1⁄4 tsp salt (or more to taste)

Blend till very smooth. If you have a good blender you can use raw sesame seeds(1/4 C) instead of tahini. Serve with whole wheat pita bread.
